Ovaj starac broji prve sede, i ne vidi šta bi pametnije radio,
dok čeka...
Ovaj starac gleda ožiljke na koži koji do juče nisu postojali,
onda prođe drhtavom rukom kroz kosu, pogleda još jednom u ogledalo i zapita:
- A ko si ti?
Ovaj starac broji dane do trenutka kada ćete se slučajno sresti...
Ovom starcu prilično nedostaješ.
This old man counts his first grays, and has nothing better to do,
while he waits...
This old man looks at the scars on his skin, which were not there before,
then he passes through the hair, his hand trembling, and looks at the mirror asking himself:
- Who are you?
This old man counts days till the one you will meet again accidentally...

Bio je krvav, ali nije plakao. Samo je mahao krhkim nožicama želevši da poleti. Mali, bespomoćni čovek u rukama belog doktora. Raširio mu je noge, kao što radi piletu, nedeljom na ručku, i doneo presudu: - Vaše dete je pesnik. - O ne! - Rekao je otac.
